Why You Need to Be on TikTok
I have a confession.
I have over 130K Followers on TikTok…
It sounds impressive but it’s not as important to me as it once was.
Here are a few TikTok tips I got from one of the brightest minds in the Social Media Marketing Space, Kasey Brown.
I had the pleasure of working with her and learned a ton. -Thanks Kasey!
👉1 - Embrace the 80/20 Rule
Unlike other social media platforms, TikTok prioritizes reaching new audiences over your existing followers. Approximately 80% of your views will come from non-followers, while only about 20% will be your followers.
To capitalize on this, introduce yourself in every video and give viewers a compelling reason to hit that follow button.
👉2 - TikTok is a Goldmine
I used to think TikTok was just for teens and small transactions.
I couldn't have been more wrong.
In 2023 alone, Kasey raked in $1.2 million from TikTok. Half of her clients discovered her directly on the app, and the other half decided to work with her after seeing our TikTok content.
👉3 - No Gimmicks Needed
Forget about the perfect posting time, the right hashtags, or fancy editing tricks.
What truly matters is your content's ability to captivate and hold viewers' attention.
Prioritize watch time and shares over likes and comments to see real success.
👉4 - TikTok Success Translates Everywhere
She analyzes data from 1,000 short-form videos every month and found that content that performs well on TikTok usually excels on other platforms about 85% of the time.
By focusing on TikTok first, you can set yourself up to dominate across all social media.
👉5 - Visual Hooks Over Verbal Hooks
Invest more effort into the visual appeal of your videos. Make sure you grab the viewer's attention within the first split second.
With so much content, you have just 0.1 seconds to make a lasting impression.
I will change up the feel of our newsletter to see what you like. Let me know if you like the tips and case study style.
