Mission Accomplished - TEDx Speaker
Oh Yeah!
You would never guess who I connected with…
Before I got on stage at TEDx this past Saturday.
The sound engineer was connecting my microphone and my battery pack.
I closed my eyes and suddenly I felt the energy of my late brother Kevin Nathaniel and leaned into it.
The sound engineer brushed against my ear as he placed my earpiece on and I could hear my brother’s words of encouragement.
And then I felt another set of hands on the neck line of my shirt, adjusting it to make sure the wires weren’t exposed and when I opened my eyes, it was a woman.
I closed my eyes and envisioned my mother Matrona Saunders.
My talk was deeply rooted in the stories of my mom and brother and having their spirit and energy connecting with me minutes before I got on stage was a surreal moment.
This ENTIRE experience has been therapeutic for me in so many ways.
It’s given me the opportunity to unpack emotions surrounding loss.
It’s brought me closer to my wife and kids.
I am truly a better version of myself.
I’m not sure when I’ll be on the TEDx stage again but I pray it’s sooner than later.
Last thing…
